IPTAY Center Construction Set To Begin Thursday, December 6

The IPTAY Center, which houses both IPTAY and the Clemson University Athletic Ticket Office is set to be completely razed and re-built beginning the week of December 3, 2018.

The IPTAY Center, is the latest project in the ongoing efforts to expand and enhance the Clemson University athletic facilities. Past projects include the Allen N. Reeves Football Complex, the baseball player facility, the Littlejohn Coliseum renovation, new soccer practice fields and most recently the construction of the new Hoke Sloan Tennis Center.

Construction on the IPTAY facility is set to begin on Thursday, December 6, 2018. IPTAY will continue business hours and operations in the current facility on Avenue of Champions through Wednesday, December 5, 2018. At that time IPTAY will transition into a temporary space in the WestZone of Memorial Stadium on Centennial Blvd. As IPTAY prepares for this move please review the follow FAQs below for any questions you may have. Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Where will the IPTAY staff be located during the construction of the new IPTAY Center?

Answer: The IPTAY staff (annual fund, major gifts, Block C and premium seats) will be located on the first floor of the WestZone on Centennial Blvd.  To enter the building lobby please use the Oculus double doors where you will be greeted by reception. 

Question: Where will the Clemson University athletic ticket office staff be located?

Answer: The ticket staff will be located in the Burton Gallery of Littlejohn Coliseum.

Question: How long will the new IPTAY Center building be under construction?

Answer: Construction is scheduled to take approximately one year. It is our hope to move into the new IPTAY Center in early December 2019.

Question: Will IPTAY’s phone number and mailing address remain the same?

Answer: Yes, 1-800-CLEMSON will remain the primary phone number and PO BOX 1529 Clemson, SC 29633 will remain the mailing address for IPTAY.

Question: If I am visiting the IPTAY Center where should I park?

Answer: You will be able to park in the white visitor spaces in the front of Lot 5 which is located directly across Centennial Blvd. from the Oculus.  If you have plans to visit the ticket office you can park in the visitor’s spaces in the Centennial Blvd Lot across from the Tiger statue at Littlejohn Coliseum.

Question: What will happen to the Tiger Cub Statue and the bricks outside of the IPTAY Center and elevator tower?

Answer: These will be carefully removed, stored and replaced as part of the new IPTAY Center project.

Question: Will vehicular and pedestrian traffic be impacted around the stadium?

Answer: While there may be times that traffic is rerouted, the project should remain within the buildings current footprint.

Question: Will the IPTAY office hours change during this project?

Answer: Normal University operations are from 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday-Friday.  It is our expectation to be open during these times throughout the duration of the project.  However, due to stadium operations the day before home athletic events, the hours may be adjusted with proper communication.
