IPTAY Partners With Behind The Scenes For Television Exposure

Intercollegiate athletics across the country has seen tremendous growth in recent years. The investment in new facilities, student-athlete enrichment programs, staffing and more are just a few examples of high impact areas that many institutions, including Clemson, have made an increased commitment to. Operating an elite athletic program within the Atlantic Coast Conference and across the country requires critical private philanthropy from many donors. Their support of organizations like IPTAY at Clemson University, make many things possible for thousands of young men and women across the country, both in the classroom and in athletic competition.
This past year, IPTAY and Behind the Scenes with James Earl Jones, teamed up to film a commercial on the importance of collegiate athletic fundraising and the impact it has on student-athletes. The video production focuses on IPTAY and its critical role it plays in the success on Clemson athletics. As a separate 501C3, IPTAY funds athletic scholarships, the Nieri Family Student-Athlete Enrichment Center, new and upgraded facilities, nutrition services and more. Each area aids in the success of Clemson’s nearly 500 student-athletes.
The commercial is set to air regionally in late March and early April on various news networks including CNN, CNN Headline News, MSNBC, CNBC, Fox News, Fox Business Network, TLC, Travel and Discovery. The cities of scheduled broadcast include Charlotte, Atlanta, Houston, Charleston and the Greenville/Spartanburg/Asheville area. The short video will also be distributed to public television affiliates in late March.

In addition, the partnership has provided IPTAY with an opportunity to educate to a large audience our mission of supporting Clemson University student-athletes.”
